Frühlingsfest 2023

The German word, “Frühlingsfest”, means “Spring festival”. An annual family-friendly celebration of the spring season, Frühlingsfest takes place in towns and cities all over Germany.

You will be able to find events in the towns and villages near Sennelager.
Below are some of the largest city fairs this spring.

Dippemess
Frankfurt's  spring festival "Dippemess" is one of the largest folk festivals in the Rhine region. You can find the main fair on the Festplatz Am Ratsweg 
This year the fair opens between 31st Mar -24th Apr.

Med Centre Reduced Service 3rd - 6th Apr

Sennelager Medical Centre will be operating a reduced service from 3 to 6 Apr 23 due to staff availability.

Routine appointments will take place via telephone consultation initially, where follow up face to face care is required patients will be invited in. 

Urgent appointments are to be booked using the normal medical centre number on 2414, all urgent appointments will be triaged by the practice nurse. 

The dispensary will be open between 1030 and 1100 hrs and 1530 and 1600 hrs for the collection of acute and repeat medications. 

Normal service will resume from 11 Apr 23.

Bad Lippspringe Forest lights

Hundreds of LED lamps will transform the Bad Lippspringe garden show from 31st March to April 23rd.

Look forward to long spring evenings at Osnabrück Zoo: on March 11th and 12th and from March 16th to April 10th, 2023 we invite our visitors to the evening zoo to our "Zoo-Lights" (ticket office closes / last entry 8 p.m.).

Raccoon, Bear, Otter and Wolf Invite You to the Table!


If you've always wanted to know whether otters smack their lips? What a wolf eats for breakfast? Whether the bear licks honey in the morning and whether the raccoon really washes its paws before it comes to eat.

The predator breakfast  at the Wisentgehege Springe is the place for you. A family ticket for 2 adults with 2 own children up to 14 years is €36.
This family freindly animal park is best known for it's Buffalo enclosure. They also play an important role supporting european wide conservation efforts.

From March 27th to April 11th we invite our hungry fur friends to the table at 10.15 a.m. on weekdays. The wild feast begins at the otter's enclosure. 

There the animal keepers Heike Brömer and Birgit Othmer welcome you to the delicious tour and not only provide visitors with culinary knowledge about the individual animal species.

The predator breakfast is included in the price of admission

Predator breakfast runs from 27.03.23 – 11.04.23 on weekdays

The bison enclosure is open daily from 9.00 a.m.

ASDIC - Association of Service Drop-In Centres

The Association of Service Drop-In Centres (ASDIC) represents and links veterans’ Drop-Ins across the country.  ​​

Sometimes called Hubs or Centres, Drop-Ins offer a variety of welfare and mental health support, together with comradeship and a sense of well-being, to the ex-military community and their families, and ASDIC helps them to enhance the service they can provide and make them more accessible.​

Cherry Blossom in Germany

A gift of 9000 trees after the reunification of Germany has grown into a annual celebration.

To celebrate the reunification Japanese television channel TV-Ashai raised enough money from viewers for 9,000 Cherry blossom trees. 

Most trees went to Berlin. But as you can see below there are many places to see the blossoms.

Make sure to keep an eye on the weather so that you can plan ahead and see the blossoms in each location at their best.
