The scents of incense permeate the narrow streets. The taverns loudly praise their fine selection of beers, wines and juices.
The blacksmith's forge, with its clouds of smoke, offers a long-forgotten sight. Minstrels compete for the favor of the people and jugglers show their amazing tricks. Come closer and let yourself be enchanted.
Show fight of the Knights of Menden:
Through years of experience in medieval exhibition combat, the knights have developed perfect theatrics and the necessary security at knight tournaments and medieval markets. Energetic fights are presented, embedded in an entertaining story appear in the church square.
Fabulix:
Fabulix, perhaps Germany's best-known storyteller effortlessly casts a spell over people of all ages. The storyteller will appear on the church square on the event days, each 30 minutes.
The little juggler school:
The partner of Jeremiah the juggler plays on the square with the juggler school. Here everyone can try their hand at the art of juggling with balls, poi, plates, rolabola and much more. Juggling addresses different areas of the body and personality. Balancing on a Rolabola, for example, promotes the sense of balance. The experienced body control motivates you to take further steps and is above all fun.
Spectacle of the children against the knights:
The knights stole a treasure from the children present. The "fairy tale teller" will lead the children into the "fight" against the evil knights and the children will leave the tournament track as beaming winners. The participating children get a little gift. The "fairy tale teller" puts on a 30-minute show on the church square.
Jeremiah the Juggler:
Jeremiah is a true entertainer in the fields of juggling, magic, fire shows and music. His rousing performance impresses with wordplay and perfect juggling. Should any area of the market tremble with bursts of laughter, one can be sure to find Jeremiah in the midst of a huge crowd of delighted spectators.
Minstrels Belicha:
The 3 musicians travel up and down the country in the style of medieval vagabonds. Wild and loud melodies alternate with fine sounds from the East and West, dreamy melodies, presented on bagpipes, drums and the like.
Minstrels Angerspil:
The Angerspil formation has been touring this part of the world for many years and entertaining the people with music for every imaginable occasion. Shawms, cittern, hurdy-gurdy, key fiddle, various bagpipes, drums, as well as sophisticated music, Belicha Domani knows how to conjure up far more than just a smile on the face of any audience.
Ranak from the lake - the children's smithy:
Here even the youngest can forge horseshoes. The fire in the forge seems almost magical. "Is that hot?" "Can I get closer?" You think you can read the children's questions on their faces. But once the shyness is overcome, there is no holding back. Soon the little people are pushing towards the forge and bright hammer blows can be heard incessantly.
The knight camps and the falconer camp:
The knights' camp and the falconers' camp have set up their medieval camps around the church and give visitors an insight into life at that time. Equipment, clothing, weapons and the camp are gladly explained and demonstrated. The falconers also provide explanations about the birds they have brought with them and instruct interested visitors on how to deal with the animals.
The medieval carousel:
anyone who sees this medieval gem begins to dream and wants to disappear into the past. That time was nice. The gondolas rotate gently in a circle, while the wind drives the burden of everyday life far away. Let yourself be pampered by quaint, strange forces.
