Leisure pools (Freizeitbad) are common in Germany. Offering water slides and fun pools they make a great family activity. Many also have sauna and spa areas (most sauna areas will be fabric free.)
You could well be familiar with the H2O pool in Herford, Aqua Mondo Centre Parcs or the Bad Lippspringe Therme.
Below is a list of three other Frietzbad options you might not know so well. Make sure to check the Corona rules and booking conditions at each pool before you go.
Aqualip Detmold
This pool is 35-40 mins by car in Detmold a town that many of you will know.
With two slides an adventure pool and much more Aqualip looks set up for families.
The adventure pool is 1.35m deep with a 30 °C water temp. A lazy river runs through an indoor / outdoor course. Both the slides offer special effects on the way down and are suitable for ages 6 and over.
A baby pool with private changing area is kept heated to help toddlers enjoy splashing about.

You can enjoy a flow channel, wave pool, plus a heated outdoor all year round pool. A dedicated toddler pool is kept at a water temp of 30-35 °C.

Depending on how long you want at the pool, you can expect pricing to start at:- Infants 0-3 years €1.00

You will pay a bit more at the weekend and tickets are valid for 90 mins, 2hrs, 4 hrs or a full day.
4 hour tickets can be booked online with a confirmed time slot which reduces wait times at the pool if there are many customers already when you arrive.
AquaMagis Plettenberg
At 1 hr 47 mins from Sennelagera trip to AquaMagis is more of a half or full day trip.
Being a fully fledged aqua park in NRW earns AquaMagis a place on this list.
AquaMagis is a full on tourist attraction / theme park day out. On arrival you are issued with wrist bands so no cash is needed to buy food and drink on site.
