Rehome an Ex-Military Working Dog

The Defence Animal Training Regiment has a variety of dogs that are up for retirement and need homes. These dogs are a combination of end of service retirees, veterinary retirements, and young dogs that have failed in training.

We are looking for people of an empathetic nature to offer some of our more challenging but deserving dogs of a forever home. The breeds that are available for immediate rehome are German, Belgian, and Dutch Shepherds, all aged between 2 and 12 years old. Some of these dogs do have some behavioural traits such as reactivity towards other dogs and sometimes people and will need to be handled with care when in public.

These dogs are best suited to adult only homes, maybe with older children and who also currently have no other pets.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, you can apply to be added to our database of potential owners using the QR code.
