The Whitsun walk with cultural highlights has a long tradition in Paderborn. In 2023 the Pader culture will take place for the 11th time. Between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., more than 20 artists at 16 locations in the countryside along the Pader offer a colorful program with street theatre, music, poetry, exhibitions and much more.
With free admission, all artistic offerings are free of charge and are intended to bring young and old closer to the colorful diversity of Paderborn's cultural scene. There are also artists from Belgium, the Netherlands and other regions of Germany.
The museums in the castle park are open on the day of the event with free entry. The city library is also open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event meanders along the Pader. The venues are between the Pader source area and the Castle Park of Neuhaus Castle. There are a total of 25 program items on the 5 km long route.
The starting point is Kardinal-Degenhardt-Platz or the Pader source area. It continues across the square behind the Reinekemühle to the central Pader source area and through the underpass into the Paderwiesen.
At the end of the Paderwiesen we would normally turn into the Padersteinweg. However, this is closed due to construction work. That's why you take the bus from the Rolandsweg bus stop to Lake Padersee.
Once there, the lift at Padersee is the next station. From here it continues along the Pader to the Fürstenallee playground and then along the entire Emilie-Rosenthal-Weg to the Green Classroom and beyond.
At the end of the Emilie-Rosenthal-Weg, we turn off to the Schloss Neuhaus soccer field. Through the residential area it goes in the direction of the church and then into the castle park.
You can get on and off at various points along the route. A Padersprinter bus shuttle stops at many stops along the route and is free of charge for you.
