From February 16th to 20th, 2023, everyone in Paderborn will be celebrating the fifth season (Carnival).
PaderSprinter is adapting its range of services for the carnival weekend:
Night buses start on Thursday night (00:30 -03:30)
Because of the women’s carnival on February 16, 2023, PaderSprinter night buses are already running their tours throughout the city on Thursday night. The buses start as usual between 00:30 and 03:30.
All night bus lines going in the direction of Neuhäuser Tor start at the “Westerntor” stop on the A1 platform. These include lines N1 to N4 as well as lines N7 and N8. As usual, the two night bus lines N5 and N6 start from the opposite side at the Westerntor (direction Hauptbahnhof).
The night buses also run on Friday and Saturday nights.
In addition, on Weiberfastnacht, line 5 will no longer serve the stops "Michaelstraße" and "Maspernplatz" from 3:00 p.m. The “Maspernplatz” stop for lines 6 and 68 on Heierswall serves as a replacement stop. This also applies to the two night bus lines N3 and N4.
Downtown diversions on Carnival Saturday
Due to the carnival parade on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in downtown Paderborn, lines 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 61 and 68 of the PaderSprinter will be diverted. The stops ”Rathausplatz”, ”Kamp”, ”Am Bogen”, ”Heiersstraße”, ”Kasseler Straße”, ”Michaelstraße” and ”Maspernplatz” (bus stop of line 5) are not served all day. Lines 4, 9, 61 and 68 also stop at the regional bus stops in front of the Kasseler-Tor bridge and at Gierstor. The stops "Neuhäuser Tor", "Maspernplatz" and "Detmolder Tor" (stops of lines 6 and 28) also serve as replacement stops.
The night buses are not affected by the diversions.
Timetable on Shrove Monday
On Shrove Monday, February 20th, 2023, the PaderSprinter city buses will run like on a normal working day, but without trips that are only carried out on school days (e.g. electric cars in the morning).
