Fruit trees are particularly structurally and species-rich biotopes in the landscape, providing food and habitat for numerous animal and plant species.
The city of Paderborn has been caring for and maintaining fruit trees on its land for some time and is helping to preserve this important habitat by planting new trees and replanting them.
What not to do
When harvesting fruit, the trees should be handled carefully, as bark injuries and broken branches form entry points for pathogens such as fungi. The result is permanent damage or even the death of the trees.
Harvesting is at your own risk. Please only harvest by hand or with a fruit picker. Ladders should not be used to protect the trees and to avoid accidents.

Fruit may be harvested in household quantities and not for commercial purposes.
Driving vehicles onto the valuable biotope areas is not permitted. Fenced areas are usually cultivated and should not be entered. If you have any further questions, please send an email to natur@paderborn.de.
