The fairs often date back to markets which started 700 - 800 years ago. Today you can enjoy funfairs alongside the traditional religious and cultural events.

Anno 1250 Hoxter - Medieval Spectacular

Friday 12th July - Sunday 14th July the city of Höxter  invites you to take a journey back in time. “Anno 1250” is the name of the extraordinary medieval market.

Live jousting and a themed market make up this event in Hoxter. The Hoxter City wall provides the back drop.

The market offers furs, honey and mead, spices and wines, pottery, jewelry, soaps and candles.

Of course, there will also be medieval treats and delicacies.

The highlights of "Anno 1250" is a tournament of knights on horseback and their men-at-arms.

Each day a fun Children v's knights event will take place.
